PINKIEST PINK, 2016
In response to exclusive ownership of artistic colours, Stuart Semple created the world's Pinkest Pink and made it available to all artists.
It became a symbol of colour freedom and creative access.
VANTABLACK, 2014
Surrey NanoSystems released a material called Vantablack, promoted as the blackest black. Later, exclusive artistic rights were granted to a single artist, preventing others from using it.
BLACK 3.0, 2018 - Now at Version 4.0
Stuart Semple collaborated with over 1000 beta testers to create Black 3.0, a brushable super matte black acrylic paint absorbing up to 99% of visible light.
Safe to use, water-thinnable, archival, and suitable for many surfaces, available to all except Anish Kapoor.
