Stuart Semple has unlocked another colour. This one is different because you can’t see it online. Not properly. That’s the whole problem.

FRELLIPLE was developed by an advanced imaging research group working in next‑generation display and perception science. It sits outside the standard gamuts modern imaging relies on. So when you try to capture it, share it, screenshot it, print it, post it, or just show your mate... it collapses into something else. In other words: your screen can’t display

FRELLIPLE. They’re going to have to change all the printers and tellies to deal with it.We didn’t wait for that. Working from early scientific insights, we’ve made a usable acrylic version of FRELLIPLE so artists can experience it in the physical world first.

What does it look like?

 It’s a kind of dark grey‑white… almost there but not quite… you can’t really describe it properly. Some people say it’s like stripes. Almost see‑through. Basically tartan. It’s impossible to describe.

Directions 

Frelliple is a ready‑to‑use acrylic paint 
1 - Shake well.
2 - Paint it.
3 - Try to photograph it.
4 - Realise you can’t.
5 - Paint more.

Don’t eat it, drink it, put it on your face, get it in your eyes, snort it, cook with it or paint it on your children / pets.
